Star’s fiber optic cleaver is designed for excellent portability, which is a preferred tool for FTTx applications. The optic buffer tube cutter blade carries 16,000 single-fiber cleaves before requiring replacement, and the built-in scrap collector conveniently stores fiber shards until they can be safely discarded. Fiber cleaver accommodates 0.25mm to 0.9mm coating diameters and is designed to cleave the fiber barely to 16mm fiber length. It is available with a scale, allowing fiber cleave lengths from 5mm to 20mm.
